【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoverstheselectionanduseofproceduresfortestingsolvent-bornecoatingstobeusedonexterior,interiororbothtypesofsurfaces(seeNote1).Thepropertiesthatcanbeexaminedor,insomecases,therelevanttestproceduresarelistedinTable1andTable2.Note18212;Theterm"architecturalcoating"asusedherecombinesthedefinitioninTerminologyD16withthatintheFSCTPaint/CoatingsDictionary,asfollows:"Organiccoatingsintendedforon-siteapplicationtointeriororexteriorsurfacesofresidential,commercial,institutional,orindustrialbuildings,incontrasttoindustrialcoatings.Theyareprotectiveanddecorativefinishesappliedatambienttemperatures.OftencalledTradeSalesCoatings."Note28212;Architecturalcoatingsthataredesignedtogivebetterperformancethanmostconventionalcoatingsbecausetheyaretougherandmorestain-andabrasion-resistantarecoveredbyGuideD3730.1.2Thetypesoforganiccoatingscoveredbythisguideareasfollows:(1)Type1InteriorLow-GlossWallFinish,(2)Type2InteriorGlossandSemiglossWallandTrimEnamels,(3)Type3ExteriorHouseandTrimCoatings,and(4)Type4FloorEnamel,Exteriorand/orInterior.1.2.1Eachisintendedforapplicationbybrushing,rolling,spraying,orothermeanstothematerialsappropriateforitstype,whichmayincludewood,plaster,wallboard,masonry,steel,previouslypaintedsurfaces,andotherarchitecturalsubstrates.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
